2024 Southern Tennis Escape Invitational

You are cordially invited to the 31st Annual Southern Tennis Escape Invitational Tournament to be held March 15-17, 2024, at the beautiful Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club in Shipyard Plantation.
Open to all skill levels, the tournament format will be doubles and mixed doubles*. Players may enter up to two events. If any one level does not have enough participants to make a draw, it may be moved to the next highest level OR a singles draw may be created. You are guaranteed a minimum of two matches in each event.
Please note – This is a three-day tournament with finals on Sunday. Early departures not only affect the tournament schedule, it affects other players. If you cannot commit to all three days, you are welcome to come as a spectator.
Practice courts will be available at the facility on March 14 after 1:00 p.m. Play will begin Friday, March 15 at 8:00 a.m. Draws will be posted by Thursday afternoon. Most matches will be played on clay courts however Shipyard also has hard courts so your match could be on either surface. If inclement weather occurs, the scoring system may change to accommodate matches. Proper tennis attire is required. A full consolation round will be included as court time permits.

ENTRY DETAILS
Entry forms are available on our website www.tennisescape.com Deadline to enter is February 10, 2024 or at tournament capacity, whichever comes first. As a reminder, we ALWAYS sell out by early January. No entry will be accepted without payment. Please have your partner enter at the same time as we must receive both entry forms and payment for both players to be included in the tournament. Payment options and instructions are located on our website.
COST: The entry fee is $159 per player, which includes practice courts on Thursday, Thursday evening social, tournament t-shirt, court-side water and beverages, and plenty of finger food and cold beverages on Friday and Saturday.
EXTRA MEAL (cost for NON-player): we are not providing meals this year.

*If you do not have a partner, please post a request on our website’s Guest Book. Please note, we cannot guarantee a partner, but will try to pair you to the best of our ability. The earlier you enter, the better your chances are of getting assigned a partner if you can’t find one.
